your attention,

what else can you do, but
pick up this tightly bound
new novel, and read
between the covers.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

LOVE! That is the seduction itself. And even wihout the shine, books have the power of becoming new again every 10 years or so. I wonder if people and relationships do that too?

  2. This is the best kind of newness of all:) Wonderful! A new book is such a gift.

  3. Laurie Kolp says:

Ah, yes… the joy of a new book… enticing.

A life’s pleasure that never gets old
