Remember those lovely genies who grant wishes? Well, you’re one and you’ve just been emancipated from your restrictive lamp. You can give your three wishes to whomever you want. Who do you give your three wishes to, and why?

After the last shot
of bourbon, I noticed
an odd amber glow.
Lo and behold! A genie
drifted up. After too many
drinks, I went along with
the script. Three wishes
could be had for free,
though not for me. Which
worthy being would I bestow
with this gift? I wracked
my brain, already strained
from the shock, and the whiskey.
An idea presented itself,
took a bow, and left. I would
pick three different recipients.
First wish would go to a dog
in a shelter. Second, to a person
suffering with beginning Alzheimer’s.
The third wish would be granted
to a struggling farmer, who could
then feed the world.
