Written for The Daily prompt at WordPress.com, “Fearless Fantasies”
How would your life be different if you were incapable of feeling fear? Would your life be better or worse than it is now?

No rides would scare me
No need to prepare me
for horror films or books.

I could pet a lion
or take up flying
Not nestle safely in a nook.

I could stand in front of moving cars
or fight the toughest guys in bars
But if I lose, my goose is cooked!

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

That’s a nice way of putting what being fearless can lead to. Nice!

Yes, one needs to be brave to face and counter all those threats that come one’s way. If one loses it is part of life’s lessons on growing up. Nicely Purple Pen!
