“simply trust”

Written for:  Carpe Diem #511 Issa (2), ”simply trust”

Write a poem in the same tone, sense, and spirit as Issa’s.

simply trust:
do not also the petals flutter down,
just like that?

Darkness of night sky curtains

In the morning, light

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  2. Sara, this does echo the Issi haiku well, yet your own style… night must fall, day must dawn, and love goes on.

Your also embrace one of the essentials of haiku: That it be rooted in nature. Lovely, lovely work. Thanks also for your sweet, irreverant words about Rollie’s funeral and the preacher. You SO get me! LOL Amy
