My Taste

So the idea is to urge you to write about the uniqueness of your own food/recipes. Do you feel that your food, in some way or other, defines you? I prefer that we write about food habits, but surely we can extend about any other traits that we believe defines us, locally, at least, or even more interestingly, can we use food as metaphor?

Rich dark chocolate,
and eggplant parmesan,
though I am neither
rich, dark, or Italian.

Joy abounds when I sample
foods new to my palate,
or find recipes to try.
Give me the spicy
side of life, in any

Cooking is an adventure
that I can have
in my own home. Will I
decide to keep the new
recipe? Will it become a favorite?

Baking with cinnamon scenting
the house makes my mouth water,
and my stomach growl with impatience.

I guess, I am a spicy woman of varied taste.

    hi, first of all sorry that i am reading your post so late after my prompt is over. apologies for that….i missed your comment on Dverse. Can read your passion about spices, cinnamon is one of the best, according to me, a lovely write you have in here,,,i also feel the same way…
