Written for: Poetic Asides November 2015 Challenge – Day 10
Two-for-Tuesday – Write a technology poem and/or an anti-technology poem.
Cells, bells, drones,
Digital scales and cameras,
clocks with red lights.
Green light-your computer sleeps,
while you are awake
thinking about
all those things you bought
on line, on impulse
because you needed a boost
at two in the morning.
Then you discover
without warning, someone
else is claiming to be you.
Now you don’t know who
you are, and any pretense
at privacy is a joke.
