Written for: Poetics Aside #337
Write a persona poem from the perspective of someone (or something) other than yourself.
That young snippy miss
is far too brazen
for a mere visitor.
She must be dismissed
at once, I say.
She is curious and stubborn
when everyone knows
there is only one way.
Where I rule
there are no tea parties
with crazy folk.
I am nobody’s fool.
Off with her head, no delay
off with yours, if you disobey.
Now I am off, eager to play
a outstanding game of croquet.
Ha! I love this!
