Keeping Hope Alive

Down to the sea,
she climbs
across rocks,
his jacket draped
over her nightgown.
He is out there,
somewhere, she is sure.
No cure for love
that is stronger
than ocean tides.
She bides her time.
He will return to her–
any night now,

    I do hope her optism is rewarded. That feeling of love stronger than ocean tides, when a loved one is far away; very nicely expressed.
