The Trip

Written for:  The Sunday Whirl, Wordle #243

Words:  tell, line, stand, source, atoms, born, journey, sky, cycle, still, stones, return

You do not have to stand
in line for the sky journey.
Your source is the group
of stones you have gathered,
born of ancient atoms. This is
your time to shine. The next cycle
is still to come. Some wondrous
tales will be yours to tell upon
your return. Learn well my friend.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  2. Your source is the group of stones you have gathered. I love this. We need to listen to the whispering wisdom of the stones. Lovely work.

This is the trip that counts – and explains why chemical voyages are so empty – i love how somehow the storms run to stone..the permanence of our story confirmed

The story is always in the stones. Thanks for your visit…
