Written for: NaPoWriMo – Day 15
Write a poem that incorporates the idea of doubles.
They were two,
a duo in blue
dress and tux. Knew
all the standard tunes.
Sang in harmony imbued
with angelic voices, true
and sweet. Joined in wedlock, too,
stuck together like glue.
A pregnancy ensued.
Her belly grew and grew.
They had twins named Lou and Sue.
Now they are two plus two.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York.
My goal is to create and share poetry with others
