What Next?

Word for Today:  Finish

The finish has dulled
on surface of this past
year. Will a new coat
of gloss make a difference?
I hope our fears lessen,
but my hopes are not high.
Reach out, talk to people,
be tolerant. Unity is strength.
We all have common threads;
the sewing must continue.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

    You are so right, the sewing back together must be a priority. Thanks for joining in and hope your New Year is filled with Love and Laughter,

    “We all have common threads. The sewing must continue.” And thankfully we can do that even if the Head Seamstress is bonkers, lol.
