Team Chant

Our team is the best,
it beats all the rest.
High school colors black and red;
they all know we got cred.
Go Team!

Our Team is the best,
practice, practice, we don’t rest.
When we get ball, you know we’ll score.
Give us a hand for points galore.
Go Team!

Our team is the best,
fine players, that’s no jest.
Think you’ve got some brass?
Our school will kick your ass.
Go Team!

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  1. Fun this one.. love how you captured the joy of having a team to follow.

  2. This sounds like it really could be turned into a cheer. You should give to the team to have fun with. Thinking about it, cheers are definitely good example of repetition.

  3. Ha! This was fun. I like the rhyme, too.
