Write about a smell.

Her armpits emitted an odor
of perspiration and something bolder.
Garlic discharged from pores;
she had no social mores
and wondered why they did not promote her.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

    I suppose a shower every now and then can’t hurt when it comes to company promotions.
    I’ve heard that after three days the smell doesn’t get any worse, but I’m not sure whose nose is doing the judging. Nice limerick!

  3. There are truths that nobody tells you… maybe shower an extra time is a good idea.

  4. Would not be fun to have a desk next to hers. Cute

  5. The only solution ? Eat garlic in self defense! Great limerick!
