A Summer Afternoon

A light summer breeze
cooling my arms,
under shade of tree

Lounging on chair
or canopied swing
whose sway lifts my hair,
while finches sing.

Glass of chilled white wine
or Vodka-tonic on ice
with slices of lime.
Voila! Paradise.

Paradise indeed ~ Happy summer to you, smiles ~

  2. I so love your paradise. Mine would include a tall glass of iced sweet tea!

It doesn’t take much to make paradise. I’d probably want the iced tea as well in today’s heat.

  4. Sigh. The wonder of a summer evening such as you describe. That vodka tonic sounds wonderful. Here’s to you, Sara.
