“Quilt Me A Poem” with Margaret
Write a poem using one of these fabric details.
If it’s color you want,
we rule. Look at us,
a pool of colored
waters, a collage
of nature’s finest.
We blend. We complement
each other. Stripes,
splotches, spots, feathers
with tiny dots. Few of us
are only black or white.
Orange, russet, yellow,
and my elephant pal
in wrinkled steel gray,
whites tusks shining.
If it’s color you want,
we rule.
I like this! If it is color you want, we rule….I love that statement. Such a colorful block and your words bring it to life.
