Quadrille #47 – “leap” (posted by Grace)
“Today is a good day to leap into poetry! That’s right friends, our first Quadrille word for 2018 is LEAP. The rules in Quadrille is simple: write a poem, or short story in 44 words (excluding the title) with the word, LEAP.”
Take a leap,
she says.
If it doesn’t pan out,
at least you dared.
What of consequences?
friend replies.
One leap can hurt
others, ripple
through water
like wake of a ship.
Ask yourself, she says,
if you would rather be
a stagnant pool.
We have to take chances! Stagnation is no fun. Very wise work 💫

Ugh, stagnant water. I think not. Sometimes we need those ripples in order to get anywhere. Did you link this, Sarah. I didn’t see it on the quadrille prompt, but I could be wrong.
