Written for:Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #15 – “Soliloquy no Renga”
A chain poem but written by one person.  Taken from Jane Reichhold.

the dust of stars
shining radiance                                  Jane Reichhold

evening sky hushed by silver
under watchful eye of moon

stars sleep
in black blanket of heaven

gold ray of morning sunlight
lifts darkness from bedroom

folded flowers stir
reluctant to open eyes
after long sweet sleep

birds trill on treetop branches
air fills with waking sounds

late afternoon
blue light darkens shadows
shorter days

hush sweeps earth like a broom
stardust enters on silver toes

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

I like it. It speaks of beautiful eveninfs, hushed in blue and purple, very tranquil

Nice concept, linking it to awakening.
