Write a new poem that explores one or three (even 13) things you believe words can do for you and others.
Create cards
for friends and family
using words
and pictures
with special meanings for each.
Laughter echoes back.
Writing poems
of tribute for lives
of those here,
of those gone
tells them my truest feelings
less expressed by voice.
Persuasive
strong words strung like pearls
reflection
of other’s
thoughts, enabling them to see
they are not alone.
Lovely, Sara. Words and poems are exactly that.

I especially believe the last part of your poem to be true.. Use words so that others may see they are not alone.

words are like wishes …. sometimes hidden, secretive, sometimes bashful, hopeful …. and yet they are knotted strings too …. and when we use them to simply express …. what more if there? a gift is a gift 🙂
