The yellow Corvette has stories to tell
like that time his bumper was hung with tin cans
for newlyweds embarking on a trip for a spell.
The yellow Corvette was bought by a man
who had saved all he could to afford her.
They took many trips, saw lots of land.
The yellow Corvette was sold to the daughter
of a wealthy man who should have known better.
She was reckless, and the car ended up in the water.
The yellow Corvette grew aged like fine cheddar,
he was bought by a retired race car driver
who keep him polished, oiled, out of bad weather.
Interesting that the yellow Corvette is male. Very dashing in his youth, no doubt! It’s good that he is appreciated and looked after in old age.

I have no idea how the car became a male! I wonder what that means? Thanks, Rosemary.

The passion of having it is all that matters.

A quaint write. I love the light-heartedness of your terza rima. At least it wasn’t a little red corvette! (a la Prince)

I can see this as a metaphor for the marriage. Hopefully, it eventually made it to that safe and caring state.

A car brings hope, hell, tears, laughter… I am glad this car found a home with someone who would bring it back to its former glory.
