Drafts of Change

Written for:  The Sunday Whirl, Wordle #342

Words:  stormy, charge, star, gift, fry, wired, mar, draft, sand, silence, manner, guilt

Stormy Daniels, a star
with a gift,
but not for silence.
Wired ego, no guilty
manner. She is a sand flea
in an already marred
and scarred reputation,
charging ahead. No small
fry, she. Drafts blow,
people come and go. Who
knows what is next. Perhaps
a storm.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  1. Joanne Edith says:

Great take on the words, and the unbelievable situation. Nicely done.

  2. Oh, very clever! Nicely done, and so topical.
