passing time

Written for:  Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #37 Troiku Challenge “Time”
This weekend meditation I love to challenge you again to create a Troiku with a “fusion”-haiku. And this weekend I love to challenge you to create a “fusion”-haiku with the following haiku themed “time”:

perpetual snow
reflects the sunlight –
I dream of a nude beach

through tears
cherry blossoms scattered
by the breeze

Here is my fusion and troiku:

sunlight reflected
on drifting cherry blossoms
through his tears

sunlight reflected
black shadows imprint pool
with overhanging leaves

on drifting cherry blossoms
tiny drops of dew
hope for next season

through his tears
he smiles at hem of tree
a pink skirt gathers

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
