Morning ~ Clarence White (1906) Fair Use

Here I sit in reverie
though it is bath time, I know.
Dawn of morning calls to me
yet here I sit in reverie,
silently and free,
entranced by rosy glow.
Here I sit in reverie
though it is bath time, I know.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

Love the repetition…it fits in with her procrastination (reminds of Monday morning before work…lol!)

Sometimes it is so hard to get started isn’t it? She definitely has something on her mind whether it was about last night or the coming day, who can tell?

With time to kill one can reflect on life’s choices open to oneself. Very true, Sara!

    What the night has brung?

I love this Sara – especially as I spend a lot of my time in reverie, just wondering about anything and everything.
