Explore the possibilities of balance in a new poem.
“You have to laugh at the things that hurt you just to keep yourself in balance.”
―Ken Kesey

Rock balancing (Counterbalance) ⚖
I try to eat a balanced meal.
Find third portion missing on plate,
vegetables have lost their appeal.
I try to eat a balanced meal.
Thinking of parents makes me feel
riddled with guilt, vow a clean slate.
I try to eat a balanced meal.
Find third portion missing on plate.
I enjoyed this, especially the repetition. Cool, Sara!

Darn it, those lima beans keep missing my plate, somehow. As my mom tells me, I need to eat them. Sigh.

Ah! The doors that open from a single plate of food. Loved the reminiscing refrain.
