How do you look at Winter?
“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape. Something waits beneath it; the whole story doesn’t show.” — Andrew Wyeth
In first crisp days
of Winter, strong sun,
waiting wind, I enjoy
walking, re-energizing,
and feeling that Winter
glow on my cheeks.
As Winter progresses,
excessive winds howl,
and black ice dominates
streets. I would rather
seek a cozy corner, soft
blanket, sound of bubbling
stew, as I sip Cabernet.
Well you certainly know what you are doing and have got winter sorted out.

The beginning of winters are well spent outside — I too love walking and feeling its soft touch, soon to be followed by its gripping tendencies as it sprawls all over — then it is comforting to be indoors and enjoying the warmth. Well penned! 🙂
