Written for:  Carpe Diem #1530 Universe … Soliloquy No Renga (solo-renga)

“All our prompts / themes are following the alphabet and today we have arrived at the letter U … I have chosen the theme “universe” and I love to challenge you to create a Soliloquy No Renga (solo-renga) inspired on the following haiku:”

circle of life
seasons come and go … always
the Cosmos leads us                            © Chèvrefeuille (our host)

with tugs of sun and moon
darkness following light

universal hope
all those who live on earth
to obtain peace

in troubling times we live in
let’s not forget right and wrong

cling fast
to beliefs you were taught–
equality for all

we are a circle bound
there is no end or edge

seasons drift
one to another so quickly
over the universe

Each one has different colors
like the people they affect

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  1. You created a wonderful solo renga … and I know that’s not an easy task.
