Color Forms

Written for:  Poetics Aside 2018 November PAD Chapbook Challenge – Day 18
For today’s prompt, pick a child’s toy, make that the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. It’s time to break out those dolls, action figures, building blocks, and board games and play with our words.”

Varied colors and shapes
Stick them on plastic, create art.
Use a square or round part;
be Picasso by starting slow
with blues, greens, and yellows.
If work does not shout, Hello!, re
arrange shapes, begin fresh.
Choose new colors that mesh, feel proud.
