Sail Your Own Ship

Written for:  The Sunday Whirl, Wordle #378

Words:  news sail, sting, cheer, regret, binge, flow, fringe, free, drift, stream, ease

On the fringe
of bingeing
on food? No
regrets. Take
cheer in knowing
you can start new
tomorrow. Sail
your own ship,
drift down
that stream
with ease. It
will not always
flow freely, but
we all go through
stings and bumps
along the way. Main
thing is to sail on.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

I am reminded of a song…something about sailing??? The words come and go in a haunting way. Loved the way you used each word!!
