Tree Alarm

Written for:  The Sunday Whirl, Wordle #400

Words:  salt, spring, tree, sight, sings, shack, limit, glass, power, park, spray, ridge

Alarm tree sighted powerful storm
coming, just over the ridge. Sprang
into action, warning birds in
the park, who flew off, wings
flapping. Deer at the salt lick
limited their snack. Felt a light
spray begin. The forest folks
who lived in the shack with one
glass window, caught word, boarded
up, and cozied indoors with a
pot of tea, giving thanks to
the alarm tree.
