Some Questions

“Asking Questions”  (posted by Bjorn)

“I think especially open questions leads us to think, where answers leads blocks our thinking often in a dividing manner.
So the challenge today is quite simply, write a poem consisting only of questions.

If you want to take it to the next level, why not write your own answer to the question(s) in the form of a response to your own questions.”

Why are nightmares longer than happy dreams?

Where does confidence come from?

Is there such a thing as “harmless flirting”?

Wouldn’t the world be more fun with unicorns in it?

Shouldn’t there be an intelligence test in order to buy a Smartphone?

Do dogs have allergies to us?

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

Sara, I really like your really clever questions. That intelligence test might rule out a whole lot of ‘pocket calling’ but it might rule out my having a phone. I compose more on it than on my computer.

  2. Margaret Elizabeth Bednar says:

ha! Unicorns… sigh Loved all the quirky questions.

Is there such a thing as “harmless flirting”? … I don’t believe there is ..

  4. Unicorns would make me smile I think… but what if unicorns are carnivorous who love the tast of human flesh?

  5. Hmmm, thought-provoking….
