Cat Lives

Written for:  The Sunday Whirl, Wordle #403

Words:  insight, blocks, shift, shoot, clues, style, alley, siren, lights, live,  tracks, permit

Alley cats live
on scraps. Feral
cats prefer outdoors,
so if you permit them
a warm place, be sure
to leave claws intact.
Fact is, they need them
to survive when they shift
to outdoor mode. Look
for clues like scratching
on doors, and wailing
like sirens. All cats possess
keen insight and style. Do
not be blocked, shocked
if they track
in dead
animals; their eyes light
with pride, as they present.
Try growing some catnip
or other green shoots
to give them as a reward.
Save a life.

What a great take on the wordle words. I like where you went here – a positive message. We have a rescued dog (allergic to cats), and she adds so much to our lives.
