Inspiration Words of Sentences

Written for:  Poetic Boomings2 – Exercise in Poetic Thought #2
“The ability to see something poetic or find the beauty of something is a learned skill. We will be working towards that end. My personal belief is that “Inspiration is found everywhere you look!” Be it in a scenic setting, a personal issue, a magazine article, a photo or in this case, a single word. We’ve found some beauty in the ten words offered and put them in a pleasant “setting”, your individual sentences. We had all written different ideas from those single words. All inspired in our individual thoughts. We’ve found our own beauty.

In those lines there are little snippets of ideas that express what the poem where these sentences will reside, will be about. These are the true inspirations.”

Impossible Adventures in Imagination  (What would it feel like to walk through a cloud?)

Living Out of the Moment  (Auguries of late Autumn bring on chills.)

Finding the Sweetness  (Softened in a beef stew, a carrot’s flavor is sweeter.)

Sounds of Nature  (Haunting is the tremulous sound of a loon across the lake.)

Competition  (I have never understood the “race for space”.)

Held in Love  (She fell into his embrace and felt herself melting.)

Endings  (Their song was no longer her song.)

Disappointment  (He missed the throw and his team lost.)

Living Colors  (Attractive annual flowers are blooming.)

Over-Confident  (His ego allowed him to think he was witty.)

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
