Dragon in Flagon

Written for:  dVerse Poets Pub – Quadrille #81 – “Here There Be (poem) Dragons
(posted by De) – “Today, I’d like you to wrangle a dragon into your piece.”

Man strolls hem
of sable ocean
on night sand.
Spots rusty flagon,
half-buried. Out pops
wee dragon, blowing
sea smoke. Dragon
says, no genie–no wishes.
You freed me, though, so
what say I buy you a beer?
No species phobia, I hope?

That’ll work! LOL! Quirky and fun 🙂

  4. We don’ need no stinking genies–a wee dragon, no bigger than a sea horse, works just fine. The sound of this reminds me of a shanty for sure.

Well, that’s the most pleasant dragon intro I’ve ever seen, no flames, smoke or burning cities. Your dragon could run for office, lol.
