In Her Emerald Wrap

She is the picture of
exotic in her newly
dyed emerald wrap.
Oh, so sensual to
the touch, too much,
in her changed persona.
I remember her as shy,
scrawny, hating to enter
a roomful of people. Now
she devours the crowd,
letting off steam with ‘cross
the room screams of, ‘Darling,
how are you, kiss-kiss.’ Did
she tire of her former self
when she mysteriously left
for a time?  Or does she
take a magic pill that makes

her smile? Where can I
buy an emerald wrap?
