Written for: Carpe Diem #1769 – free choice of prompt, and make it a soliloquy no renga
As you (maybe) know the “solo-renga” has at least six (6) stanza. You start with the “hokku” (starting verse) and end with the “ageku” (closing verse).
hokku:
black spots on red
tickles my hand as it crawls
delicate ladybug
your touch is good luck omen
teach me to live a good life
sit on beach chair
under rippling umbrella
shadows cast on book
yellow-beaked blackbird, curious
watches from top of fence
feral fat cat
looks up trunk of maple tree
climbing squirrel
Age-ku:
many creatures inhabit
the earth they share with us
