Free Stuff

Write a Free (blank) poem.

A Friday in Costco is like a banquet,
see customers run from counter to counter.
Oh good, some eclairs–how many to get?
Save room for next treat you will encounter.

Pulled pork–heavenly
Packs in box–33.
Mini-meatballs, a time saver
do not have Mom’s flavor.

If you visit Costco, be early,
there’s never parking on a Friday.
This time of year store’s rife with candy.
Eat a light breakfast, wear loose clothes.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
