A Crippled Mind

Written for:  Sunday Whirl #441

Words:  gawk, mist, arm, cringe, across, tape, chopped, rope, sign, form, mind, token

Sign of a cringing
mind, taped or tied
with rope, forms chopped
images across the mist-
drenched sky. Gawking,
I raise my arms. Tell me
if this is a token
of my future.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

Could be if we don’t look after the Earth a little better, but let’s see how much profit we can make first. I just wish more of us would think the same way so some change can be enacted!
