Weekly Scribblings #16:  “Reverse”  (posted by Rommy)
Choose from at least one of the following “re” words,
and incorporate them into your work:

I respect him
for renouncing
the man he works
for. In reviewing
film of speeches,
documents redacted,
and a host of outright
lies, it was revealed
that the boss is
an egotistical child
-man who raved about
his accomplishments,
and intelligence,
artfully shifting
all blame for misdeeds
onto others, and never
admitting he was wrong.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  1. Goodness, I wonder who you can be talking about? (Well in fact, living in a different country, I’m not sure who your renouncer is, but no mistaking the other.)
