Written for: dVerse Poets Pub – Meeting The Bar: Triplets (posted by Frank H.)
“Today the challenge is to write three-line poems or poems having mainly three-line stanzas. In other words the focus is on tercets or as I titled this prompt, “triplets”.
You wandered through my mind
scattering droplets
of compassion, wonder, love.
Voice of softly singing bird
lulls me into a hypnotic state
ending in tingling fingers and toes.

About purplepeninportland
I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York.
My goal is to create and share poetry with others
who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve
in you, and feel your sparks as well.
I like those droplets of compassion and the tingling sensations in the fingers and toes.

Hearing a loved one can invoke such feelings of nearness. Certainly Sara!
