“No matter where you reside, I’m sure there is a professional, semi-professional, club or college team playing in your realm of awareness. Use their nickname as the title of your poem and write a non-related piece in that vein. Show your spirit and write an appropriate poem! We’re rooting for you!
It’s understood that not many are into the “sports” themed prompts. But write something anyway. It need not be sports related. Whatever strikes you today, write about it. Strikes, as in bowling or baseball! See, it’s “sports” related!”
Not a fan of sports,
though I like some ports.
Whether base, foot, or bowling
ball, I am not excited by goalies.
When Winter comes around
there’s no greater sound
than couples figure skating
the flow of two bodies–elating.
