Loser Day

Written for:  Poetic Bloomings2 – July Covid-19 – Day 29
Good Time Charley’s Got The Blues

‘Write a win or lose poem.’

Four placements
are placed
in the wash,
then hung to dry.
Up come three.
Big mystery.

Later same day,
my favorite
water glass
takes a plunge–
I lunge too late.
Liquid and glass
covers the floor,
runs under the stove.
Collect glass,
sop up water,
vacuum every
nook and cranny
three times,
while keeping
dogs at bay.
