Weekly Scribblings #31: What Makes You Smile?
For this week’s scribblings, I’d like you to write about the things that make you smile. Send over your prose and poetic joys, both fiction and non-fiction. But remember to keep your prose pieces to 369 words or fewer and one entry per person please.
When I make someone smile
or laugh, it brightens my day.
When I walk on the boardwalk
with my sister for company
we smile (under masks), and
reminisce about our childhood.
All animals bring great
joy, when they play with
toys, or cuddle up. Nothing
like observing pups. Giggling
babies bring a grin. Color
of trees in autumn, watching
flowers bloom, gazing at
the moon. If I help
another person, my reward
is an internal smile.
I can agree with everything you have listed!

Humans and animals are meant to smile. Rule breakers and disease bring the tears. Sooo good here, Sara!!

Even under a mask, we know when someone smiles. We can see it in their eyes.
