This bloomin’ white shirt
is now green. Explain!
He sent her

still blooming.
blooms white in garden
elegance is unmatched

A young woman from a rural site
was engaged to a true urbanite.
Country life made him sneeze
cities sparked her unease

About purplepeninportland
I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York.
My goal is to create and share poetry with others
who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve
in you, and feel your sparks as well.
I love calla lilies. So elegant, and etherial.

Me too, there are so formal and regal looking. I do worry about the visiting couple – hope that works out for them. Love all your doodles with ‘blooming white’

Ah… doodles of blooms 😀 Yes, I like that too. …Um..grass stains? A rose bush to plant! And Calla Lilies… I know someone in CA who has them by their front door. And you Limerick reminds me of ‘Green Acres’… 😀

Oh no, not Green Acres! Haven’t thought about that in a long while. Thanks, Jules.
