Written for: dVerse Poets Pub - Quadrille #112: The Sky's The Limit" (posted by whimsygizmo) "Today, I shall paper-airplane-sail you the word sky. Describe for us a skyline. Build a skyscraper of phrase. Scribe us something sky-blue true. Go skydiving into a rhyme. If you’ve been around dVerse any length of time, you know we love nouns used as verbs. So why not create your own usage? Can you sky a song? What would it mean to be skyshook, or bareskied?" I sky-skied to pudgy cloud. Shouted in joy. Upon arrival, cloud teddy-beared me into a hug. We snuggled. I cloud-watched sky as dragons blew fire, and elephants laughed. With darkness shrouding us, clouds began to fade, sky grayed, and I awoke. https://dversepoets.com/

Love the surreal essence of this Sara. Felt like I was day-tripping with Lewis Carroll… 😉 Also, something I need to share with my fellow writers here at dVerse. I so enjoy reading the work that you create and post, and am genuinely honored to be embraced as a part of this community of poets. May we all find healing in these challenging times. And as a post WWII aquarian, proud to have believed, since my college days in the 60’s, that we would some day change the world to be a better place for all… and who still believes that we might yet do it — I wish each of you peace, health, and love. Write on!

Lewis Carroll rules in my book, so a special thanks for that. I am honored to be a part of dVerse as well. The creations here are
truly art. Yeah, I thought we’d change
the world, but I feel like the spool is unwinding. We can hope, anyway. I wish you dragons and elephants.
