Evil At The Crossroads

Written for: Sunday Whirl, Wordle #480

Words: call, rattle, toll, fall, crossroads, shame, word,
until, path, hands, come, suspect

Word on the street:
You are at a crossroads.
pick wrong path, shame
will come to you. Evil
calls with a suspect
rattle. Until bell tolls
this chilly Fall night,
hands reach out
for you.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

How often one feels the worry that one has made a wrong move. It is with regret but still it repeats again and again. Once down one will always feel down. Such days can happen if one entertains the worries and it continues being worrying.
