Written for: Poetics Aside PAD November 2020 Challenge - Day 5 "For today’s prompt, write a ruin poem. The poem could be about visiting some ancient ruins. Or you could write about ruining a situation or ruining a recipe (I've done both plenty of times in my life). But perhaps you're like me and can appreciate the beauty in things others considered ruined. Either way, write a ruin poem today!" Biscuits it would be! I was in a hurry. Had everything I'd need including wildflower honey to drizzle over top, but see– the dough would not agree to roll out properly. Tossed in the oven though sickly they looked. Spied on counter, oh jeez, there sat forgotten milk. Biscuit failure for me. https://www.writersdigest.com/write-better-poetry/2020-november-pad-chapbook-challenge-day-5
