Written for: Poetic Asides PAD November 2020 Challenge - Day 7

"For today’s prompt, write a this time poem. A "this time" poem, for me, sort of makes the assumption there was a "previous time," and that "this time" will either be different or the same. Of course, I could also see a science fiction time jumping possibility here, and poets always surprise me with interpretations that are completely off my radar."

We hope
country will heal,
division will become
unity, and trust will prevail.
We hope.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
