Pondering Possibilities

"Poem Those Possibles"

"In this crazy year when things are constantly getting cancelled, restricted and restrained, let’s open up a poem window of possibility and let some sunshine in, shall we?"

I ponder the possibilities.
 Which are possible
 for me? You make it
 un-possible to have
 a conversation.

It’s possible for me to think
 of many things
 for which I am grateful.
 On Thanksgiving, I like
 everyone to share one
 reason to give thanks.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

Thankful for family —- even though we will be celebrating our Thanksgiving alone this year. We are not alone when we realize we have family who share in our love.

I like the coined “un-possible.” Feels beyond “impossible,” as if it’s so difficult it needed its own word. Family can be just that. But there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. Love the hope in this.
