Written for: Poetic Asides PAD November 2020 Challenge - Day 28 "For today’s prompt, write a what's next poem. Do you see hope and optimism? Are you only able to see doom and dismay? Or is it possible you can see a mix? Whatever the future means to you, write what's next in your poem." Why were we in her house without her? Reality throws a gut punch casting a blue shadow over our hearts. A house brimming with quick wit and laughter falls silent, cold. Community friends and family gather to celebrate her life.
