Cards, Cards, Cards

"So now it's time to share your words, old or new, poetry or prose, fiction or non-fiction."

With several family birthdays
in December, I am, as usual,
creating new cards. My goal
is a belly laugh, a chuckle,
or even just a grin. Let some
pink blush happiness blow through
that door of darkness.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

  1. Mmmm, thanks for this. Just realised that as I am not travelling to participate in a family xmas this year, I had better make a start immediately on creating cards … and wrapping parcels.
