The Transformation

Written for: The Sunday Muse #141

Ah! The transformation
begins. Steel woman
molts as iron armor
takes root in head
and neck. Soon time
travel will commence.
Each prong represents
an era. No one will
jeer at her now. Ah!
She feels the strengthening
surge within.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR, SARA!!!
I like the idea of “time transformation,” especially if it involves time travel. Right now that is not very productive, best done might be by sitting on a spinning gyroscope sitting exactly on one of the earth’s poles.. We flew over the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean and I took a picture of it. And at Greenwich, London, U.K. we could put one foot in each day, they had a line there. Trouble is that it moves along with time, not faster nor slower.
